What is it made out of?

Flogos are synthesized from proprietary surfactant (soap) based foam formulations and lighter-than-air gases such as helium.

How long do they last?

Flogos are designed to last for as long as their visual impact is needed. Specific formulations are available to provide a life expectancy of a few minutes to an hour or so. The visual impact also greatly depends on atmospheric conditions such as wind and relative humidity. On average, Flogos last for 30 to 40 minutes.

Will they travel over my target?

Our certified Flogo tech will place the Flogo machine in the optimum location. Flogos travel with the direction of the current wind flow, and the winds can change at higher altitudes. Flogos, however, are highly visible as they take flight to hundreds, even thousands, of feet and then travel for miles before evaporating.

How far and high can they travel?

Flogos can travel from 1 to 30 miles and float as high as 5,000 feet. They fly slowly, so they are visible for a long period of time.

How complex of a logo can be made?

Our designers use Flogo software to develop and test custom shapes. The Flogo machines are available in 24, 36 and 48-inch versions. The larger the Flogo machine, the more complex the logo can be.

How long will it take to develop our Flogo?

Our in-house Flogo art department will develop your Flogo stencil usually on the same day your order is placed.

Are they environmentally safe?

Flogos are Green and 100% environmentally safe (please refer to our MSDS information in the Flogo Information section).

Can you color them?

Flogos are currently available in white, but we have been successively testing color Flogos. For an additional charge, we can produce Flogos in a limited number of colors.

How many Flogos per minute can be produced?

With each Flogo machine, on average, one Flogo will be produced every 15 to 50 seconds, depending on the machine size and desired thickness. We recommend at least two machines for events, so Flogos will fly approximately every 7 to 25 seconds, again, depending on the machine size and desired thickness.

What sizes are the Flogos?

Currently, available sizes are the 12-inch, 24-inch, 36-inch and 48-inch models. Because of the negative space sometimes required to successfully fly the Flogo (to hold it together), its final shape may be smaller in some cases. However, Flogos are also dimensional (thick). In the near future, we will have a custom 72 inch Flogo machine available.

Are Flogos FAA approved?

Due to the fact that Flogos have minimal mass and are made out of 99% air, they do not fall under the jurisdiction of the Federal Aviation Authority (FAA). It is a standard Flogo policy, however, that if a Flogo event is taking place within 5 miles of an airport, we notify the tower that we will be flying Flogos nearby.

Can I buy a Flogo Machine?

Flogo machines are only available for rent through our authorized Flogo dealers. Flogo machines are rented in blocks of time and are operated by a certified Flogo operator.

Who are your Flogos clients?

We have performed hundreds of Flogo events for many big name clients. We have done events such as parades, festivals, grand openings, concerts, and sporting events. The sky is not the limit anymore!

How do you transport the Flogo machines?

Due to the size and weight of the machines, they are transported by trailer. Each machine rolls on large air tires for easy movement.

What are the electrical requirements?

Each Flogo machine requires a minimum of one 20 amp circuit. Every Flogo trailer is equipped with generator power for remote Flogo events.

Can Flogo events be performed inside?

Yes, Flogos can be used inside with very entertaining results. Generally, the higher the ceiling, the better the effect.

How long does it take to set up a Flogo event?

Flogo machines have been designed for the event industry so they are built into functional road cases. Set up and break down are both less than 30 minutes when performed by trained Flogo technicians.

Is it possible to change the Flogo stencil in one machine?

Yes, stencils can be changed out as many times as the client requests. We have performed events with multiple sponsors where several different custom Flogos have been flown concurrently. At these events, the stencils were typically switched out every 15 minutes, but we will accommodate your particular need. We also have several standard shapes available for your event along with your custom Flogo(s).

Where can I see a demo?

We offer an open invitation to our corporate office in Lexington, Alabama, which is in the northern part of the state. Also, you may call us to see if we are performing any events in your area.

Do you assist with business consultation regarding advertising?

Yes, we can design a program using Flogos to work with your current advertising campaign.
